A rice buyer in Mozambique placed a combined order: four CY-6 walk-behind 6-row rice transplanters और 2,000 hard rice seedling trays, machines and trays moving in the same shipment. Each transplanter runs a YAMAHA gasoline engine, plants 6 rows at 300 mm row spacing with five plant-spacing settings of 120 / 140 / 160 / 180 / 210 mm, covers 0.5 acre per hour, measures 2810×1760×1300 mm and weighs just 187 kg — light enough for one operator to handle in a flooded paddy without a tractor.

Why Four Walk-Behind 6-Row Units

The arithmetic drove the quantity. One machine plants 0.5 acre/hour, so four machines together cover 2 acres per hour — about 0.81 hectares of seedlings set in a single working hour. At a 300 mm row spacing, each pass spans 1.8 meters (6 rows), which lets the fleet move through medium-sized paddies quickly while staying inside the narrow bunds and small plots typical of Mozambican rice growing, where a riding-type 8-row machine would be oversized and a 4-row unit would leave capacity on the table.

Two more details made the CY-6 the right pick: the five plant-spacing gears (120-210 mm) let the same fleet adjust hill density for different varieties and tillering targets, and at 187 kg the machines need no tractor, no hydraulic linkage and no licensed driver — a gasoline engine and one trained operator are enough. Our full range of rice transplanters for paddy fields covers 4-row, 6-row and 8-row layouts for buyers with different field sizes.

Why the Trays Went in the Same Shipment

A transplanter is only as fast as its seedling supply. The customer’s 2,000 hard trays arrive as 20 cartons of 100 pieces (31 × 39 × 60 cm each), 400 g per tray, 800 kg of tray weight in total — a compact, cube-efficient load that shares container space with the four machines instead of triggering a second freight booking.

Ordering trays with the machines also means the nursery rhythm is ready on day one: raise seedlings in the trays, move the mats to the machine’s seedling frame, and keep all four units fed without waiting on a local tray supply that may not match 6-row equipment. The step-by-step nursery flow is covered in how to make rice seedlings with a Taizy rice seeding machine.
